A Missão Evangélica da Amazônia desiste de alfabetizar os Yanomami em Roraima. Depois de 16 anos de tentativas, lograram alfabetizar dois Yanomami. Uma das expectativas dos religiosos era tambem de inserir os índios na vida citadina, mas estes se recusaram a abandonar a floresta.
